Privacy Policy

Information stored by Seej

Seej can store smoke-event timestamps, the device source used to create a log, and optional location attached to an event. It also calculates reports and map patterns from those events.

This information is stored locally on your device. The developer does not receive, collect, sell, rent, or share it.

Location

Location is optional and is off until you enable it. If enabled, Seej uses location to attach a place to future smoke logs and to show map-based patterns. Approximate precision is the default; exact precision is available only when you choose it.

Location never blocks a smoke log, and Seej does not use background location tracking. Stored location remains on your device unless you deliberately include it in a CSV export and share that file.

Data collection and tracking

Seej does not transmit smoke logs, timestamps, reports, or saved locations to the developer or to advertising or analytics companies. Seej does not track you across apps or websites.

The app uses Apple system technologies such as Core Location, MapKit, SwiftData, and the system share sheet. Apple’s handling of its platform services is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and device settings.

Export and deletion

You can prepare a CSV export in Seej’s Settings. The file is created locally and is shared only when you choose a destination in the iOS share sheet. Once exported, copies are controlled by you and by any service you select.

You can edit or delete individual logs in History, or delete all Seej data from Settings. Removing the app also removes its local app data according to iOS behavior.

Data retention and security

Local logs remain on your device until you edit or delete them, delete all data, or remove the app. Seej relies on iOS storage and device-protection mechanisms. No storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so keeping your device passcode and software up to date remains important.

Children

Seej is a smoking-awareness app and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Seej helps you observe smoking patterns. It is not medical advice, a diagnostic tool, or a replacement for professional care or cessation support.

Changes to this policy

If Seej’s data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised. Any future feature that sends data off the device will require clear disclosure and appropriate user choice.
